“François-Xavier Poizat’s playing is precise and free, full of science and innocence, both artful and natural: he was born to play Ravel “.

Olivier Bellamy

“An accomplished virtuoso of impressive dexterity, François-Xavier Poizat travels the works of Ravel and Stravinsky with a keen sense of the pianistic colour and atmosphere of each”.

Le Temps, 2022

“Emotion, showmanship, beauty of touch, nerve, breathtaking technique: the Franco-Genevan pianist has it all.”

Tribune de Genève

“The revelation was the Frenchman François-Xavier Poizat, (…) who began this concert-fleuve with a self-confidence, professionalism and sincerity as evident as those of Nicholas Angelich, who ended the evening royally with the 33 Variations by Beethoven.”

Projects

Puplinge Classics Festival

Created in 2010 by François-Xavier Poizat when he was just 20 years old, the Puplinge Classique Festival brings together between 200 and 300 musicians every summer for some twenty musical events ranging from piano recitals and symphonic concerts to chamber music, theatre, jazz, tango, flamenco and klezmer. Every summer in July and August, Puplinge, on the edge of the canton of Geneva, welcomes nearly 3,000 spectators. (www.puplinge-classique.ch)

Voreppe Stravinsky Festival

Launched in 2021 to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of the composer who sojourned in Voreppe, near Grenoble, in the 1930s, this festival presents around ten concerts over a long weekend in March each year. A happy mix of French and international musicians come together to celebrate the legacy and influence of the great composer. Thanks to the dedication of numerous volunteers from local associations, the festival attracts and delights nearly 800 spectators every year. (www.festivalstravinsky.fr)
