Simon Bürki was born in St.Gallen, Switzerland in 2000 and began piano lessons at the age of five at the Classic and Jazz Music School in Kiev, where he studied simultaneously to his school education in Switzerland. After winning 3 prizes at the International Horowitz Competition in 2011, in 2013 his career got a real kick-start as he became a laureate of the music competition under the patronage of Denis Matsuev.

2015 Simon moved to Moscow to study at the Central Music School and later graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, class of Andrey Pisarev. Currently he continues his studies at the Julliard School in New York in the class of Sergei Babayan.

Simon is the winner of numerous international piano competitions, including the “5th International Franz Liszt Competition for Young Pianists” in Weimar and “A Step Towards Mastery” and has performed in prominent halls in Switzerland and abroad.

In 2023 Simon released his debut album “Reminiscence” dedicating it to the 150th anniversary of Sergei Rachmaninoff featuring 16 miniatures by Schumann, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin and Rachmaninoff.
