Little Tribeca launches its own artist management agency

A new adventure begins for Little Tribeca! Already well known for the development of three classical music record labels, including Aparté created fifteen years ago, and keen to be a real “home” for its artists, the company is now moving into artistic management with Little Tribeca – The Agency.

Nicolas Bartholomée, founder and chairman of the Little Tribeca record company, which publishes the Aparté, Evidence Classics and Praga Digital labels, is delighted to announce the launch of “Little Tribeca – The Agency”.

“This new activity within the company comes from our desire to provide holistic support for several of our artists”, he declares. Based on the musical output of Little Tribeca’s labels, the agency will focus in particular on developing the dynamic between recordings and concerts.

Little Tribeca – The Agency will pay special attention to developing the careers of the many young talents who have chosen Aparté record label as their first home, and some of whom will be releasing recordings in 2024.

Among them: the pianist Reed Tetzloff, who in May 2024 will be debuting a complete set of Beethoven concertos accompanied by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra; the countertenor Zoltan Darago, who in September 2024 will be releasing an album of Bach cantatas accompanied by Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques; and the pianist François-Xavier Poizat, who in October 2024 will be publishing a complete set of piano works by Ravel.

Cellist Ophélie Gaillard, a key figure of Aparté, and Julien Masmondet’s young ensemble Les Apaches! have also joined the roster.

Little Tribeca – The Agency’s ambition is to champion a wide range of musical genres, release the full potential of its artists and bring audiences together. All repertoires and styles will have their place: the great classics alongside contemporary commissions; symphonic orchestras as well as chamber ensembles; tradition and improvisation; voices and instruments; gut strings and metal.

Nicolas Bartholomée has entrusted the agency’s creation and development to Marc de Mauny, formerly General Manager of the MusicAeterna orchestra and choir, whom he met during recording sessions.

“Having contributed to setting up several emblematic festivals, ensured the development of outstanding ensembles, and collaborated with artists of all backgrounds on ambitious and innovative projects, I am delighted to put my experience at the service of the exceptional artists of Little Tribeca and to participate in building an Agency that aims to broaden the scope of classical music”, confides Marc de Mauny.
